Essentiel - Shape Sorter Box with Keys
It's well known that babies love keychains. This key box is the perfect way to develop logic and fine motor skills through play! From 18 months, your child can have fun inserting the different shapes into the correct places, then choosing the right key to open the lock and retrieve the pieces. Ideal for learning shapes and colors, this developmental toy helps babies develop their logical thinking. Easy to handle, this key box contains 6 blocks (1 yellow triangle, 2 orange circles, and 3 blue squares), and 3 plastic keys that can be attached to the box like a keychain so they're never lost! Thoughtfully designed, one side of the box is transparent, allowing babies to see the pieces fall. This side also indicates the type and number of shapes to place. This wooden developmental toy, with its pleasant colors, is painted with water-based paint and is part of our Essential collection.
Farm Tactile Cards Set
Discovery is so fun with these tactile cards! Your little ones will explore, marvel and learn more about the world around them through touch. Take them on a journey through the world of the farm by having them stroke a sheep, a pig, a cow, a rabbit, a chick or even a horse. On these cardboard cards, large areas of different textures allow little hands to become familiar with different materials: the soft fur of the rabbit or the smooth skin of the pig. This set contains 6 animal cards with materials to touch, bound by a removable ring to keep the cards together and carry them around easily. A 'farm' card with an opening on the front also allows you to play hide and seek with the cards. To be put in the hands of children from 12 months. Each card measures 15.9 x 18.4 cm, a large size that allows alert babies to grasp them easily. This product is made of FSC® -certified and other controlled material.
Dino - Dino Activity Table
Let's head back to the prehistoric era, at a time when dinosaurs roamed the earth, much to our little ones delight! On this magnificent rust and blue-toned wooden activity table, everything comes together to transport children aged 12 months and up to an extraordinary universe: a volcano mid-eruption, baby dinosaurs hatching from their eggs and even flying creatures! The day’s schedule for this trip in the heart of the Jurassic - 8 different activities to help develop babies' curiosity, motor skills and concentration: a triceratops that wheels along its track which passes under the volcano to ring the bell, an abacus comprising 10 wooden beads and a pteranodon in full flight, a 3-piece palm tree-shaped stacking toy, and even slot-in wooden pieces in the shape of a footprint and leaf. This complete activity game also includes a good visual experience as the rotating egg moves the other small eggs in the tray, plus there are gear wheels, an egg which makes a noise when you turn it and a distorting rotating mirror to make children laugh. All the details on this beautiful wooden early-learning toy are superb: the different play areas are sectioned off with pretty colours, the smoke rising from the volcano is made from very soft felt, and the dinosaurs’ eyes are so round that you’ll want to adopt one of them! This game is made from FSC® wood. The board measures 32 cm high and rests on 4 very stable legs.
Seek & Find - Garden
Has anyone seen a blue and yellow snail? With this garden-themed Seek and Find game, children aged 2 years and up will develop their sense of observation through play. Their objective: to find the insect indicated on the card amongst the pile of other insects. This educational wooden game consists of: 42 insects (7 caterpillars, 7 ladybirds, 7 snails, 7 beetles, 7 spiders and 7 flies), 42 round cardboard cards and 1 ultra-practical cotton bag to easily store and transport the game! Just like a board game, this Seek and Find game can be played with two people: the adult will verbally describe the shape and colour of an insect, then the child must find it in the pile. Several children can also play together, by either taking turns or working together to find the little creatures! In “independent” mode, your little one can draw a card and take their time to find the correct animal. The main advantage of this observation game is its modularity: the pieces get switched around with every round so your child will not get bored or have chance to memorise the locations of the elements. Furthermore, adults can vary the level of difficulty by spreading the pieces out more or less on the table, asking children to grab the piece in question with their opposite hand, or limiting their number of tries! An educational game that evolves according to the pace of younger and older children. Each piece boasts unique characteristics (shapes and colours): be careful not to confuse them! The garden is an environment conducive to exploration, curiosity and adventure: the little creatures always amuse and surprise children. This is why we have chosen to put these insects in the spotlight in this Seek and Find game. It promotes observation, visual acuity, fine motor skills and colour recognition: ideal for nursery-age children and up. This observation game is made of FSC™-certified wood and cardboard. It is part of the Janod educational range, developed in collaboration with a school teacher to ensure the best possible fit with the learning and curriculum at each level.
