Sensory game - Translucent blocks
Translucent blocks for a colorful view of life! With this set of 18 sensory blocks, children from 12 months develop their fine motor skills and imagination. It's the first stacking game for little ones! Supplied with 6 model cards, these colorful blocks can be used to create a whole host of funny animals and characters. 12 transparent geometric shapes are included (orange, pink, yellow, purple, blue and green) and 6 wooden blocks are printed with eyes, paws or ears. Children love looking at the world through the translucent shapes! From an early age, they stack the shapes like a construction set and learn to recognize colors. As they grow and progress, they learn to follow the models, then imagine their own creations. This sensory toy also stimulates sight, and uses wood and colors to create a fun and easy learning experience. Made from FSC™-certified wood from sustainably managed forests, this set of translucent blocks is part of our "Sensory" range: highly grippable, sturdy toys that encourage and stimulate the development of toddlers' senses.
Seek & Find - Garden
Has anyone seen a blue and yellow snail? With this garden-themed Seek and Find game, children aged 2 years and up will develop their sense of observation through play. Their objective: to find the insect indicated on the card amongst the pile of other insects. This educational wooden game consists of: 42 insects (7 caterpillars, 7 ladybirds, 7 snails, 7 beetles, 7 spiders and 7 flies), 42 round cardboard cards and 1 ultra-practical cotton bag to easily store and transport the game! Just like a board game, this Seek and Find game can be played with two people: the adult will verbally describe the shape and colour of an insect, then the child must find it in the pile. Several children can also play together, by either taking turns or working together to find the little creatures! In “independent” mode, your little one can draw a card and take their time to find the correct animal. The main advantage of this observation game is its modularity: the pieces get switched around with every round so your child will not get bored or have chance to memorise the locations of the elements. Furthermore, adults can vary the level of difficulty by spreading the pieces out more or less on the table, asking children to grab the piece in question with their opposite hand, or limiting their number of tries! An educational game that evolves according to the pace of younger and older children. Each piece boasts unique characteristics (shapes and colours): be careful not to confuse them! The garden is an environment conducive to exploration, curiosity and adventure: the little creatures always amuse and surprise children. This is why we have chosen to put these insects in the spotlight in this Seek and Find game. It promotes observation, visual acuity, fine motor skills and colour recognition: ideal for nursery-age children and up. This observation game is made of FSC™-certified wood and cardboard. It is part of the Janod educational range, developed in collaboration with a school teacher to ensure the best possible fit with the learning and curriculum at each level.
Sweet Cocoon Pull Train
Let's go for a ride! With this 2-in-1 wooden train for babies, it's time for motor skills from 12 months. A pull-along toy, but also a construction set, this pretty early-learning toy features 3 magnetic wagons and 10 pieces to assemble. The various shapes, sizes and colors of the elements encourage your little one's sensory development. It's in the fresh, bucolic world of the garden that baby develops his fine motor skills and coordination, to help him grow. First, you familiarize yourself with the pieces and stack them on the train: 2 flowers and 2 mushrooms are to be put back together. And then, surprise: the shell of the snail at the head of the line is none other than a transparent marble rattle! Baby can shake it to make it sound and stimulate his hearing, as well as his sight by carefully observing the marbles inside. Cleverly, when the rattle is placed on the snail's back, it rolls on itself as the train moves along! As your little one grows and progresses, it's walking that he'll discover in the company of his first-age toy. He grabs the string, and off he goes! Let's go for a walk with his little snail train! Encourage your baby's gross motor skills and imagination with this tender walking toy. We love its little wooden wheels, fun mushrooms and pretty colors. In its 32 x 6 x 12.5 cm format, it comes with a 50 cm long string. From our Sweet Cocoon collection, this wooden snail train is made from FSC™-certified wood.
Geometric Shapes Box (wood)
This appealing, cleverly designed box is the perfect way to start learning colours, with geometric shapes (triangle, circle, square) that your child has to push into the box through the right slot. It also helps children to learn the idea of thickness with 3 sides into which they can insert the pieces at different angles. The box includes 6 colourful pieces (2 triangles, 2 circles and 2 squares) that fit into the box. The box includes a small sliding hatch so the pieces can be easily removed.
